Privacy policy

Who runs this site

mashharawi.com is the personal website of Omar Mashharawi, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For anything about this policy or your data, email [email protected].

What the site itself collects

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no forms that submit data to a server, and no tracking cookies set by the site itself.

• Calculators. The rebar and steel section calculators run entirely in your browser. The diameters, lengths and quantities you enter are not sent anywhere; the section calculator only downloads its own table of section dimensions from this site.
• Contract check. The contract tool reads the file you choose inside your browser to extract its text. The file is not uploaded to this site. It uses two open-source libraries: pdf.js, served from this site, and mammoth, loaded from cdnjs.cloudflare.com with an integrity check. This page shows no ads. If you then paste the text into ChatGPT or another AI service, that service's own privacy policy applies.
• Email. If you email an address at mashharawi.com, the message is received through Cloudflare Email Routing and delivered to a Gmail inbox; replies may be sent through Brevo. Your email address and message are used only to reply to you.

Services that process data when you visit

Cloudflare (hosting, security, analytics)

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, including automated checks that tell browsers apart from bots. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without building a profile of you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Google AdSense (advertising)

Some pages show ads from Google AdSense.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google Fonts

The site's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.

Apps

The iOS and Android apps listed on this site have their own privacy pages: Steel Section Calculator, Tubes and Arabic Crossword.

Your choices

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
• Opt out of personalised ads through the links above.
• Email [email protected] to ask what data from your emails is held, or to have it deleted.

Changes

If the site starts using a new service that handles visitor data, this page is updated and the date at the top changes.
